The Carto module defines a filter for mapping widgets, and in addition a node type for web mapping services.
An example of the latter is the FAO Soil Map of the World.

The ScaleBar widget draws a scale bar for the current map.

Parameters

A reference to the map widget to which this scale bar must apply. Values can be 'next', 'previous' or an id.

intervals

The number of intervals or segments in the scale bar.

Notes

Only a draft version is available in version control.

I'm looking for a way to use scalebars, like the following ones:

error in last release of mappingwidgets

Hi All,
You are doing an impressive works here. I use mapserver from time and in few months now we all can expect that mapserver clients don't need anymore :-) with your widgets.

I write here because I installed the last release just now as trial in localhost/drupal.

I've successfully done it now but after looking for an error and corrected it.

The ScaleControl widget shows the current scale in the current unit of measure per meter, assuming a display resolution of 72 pixels per inch.

Event handling

Starting with version 0.3.1, the event handling is implemented using get/set functions and listeners on properties of mappingwidgets. This is modeled after the Listener class of MapBuilder.

A listener function can be added for simple properties such as 'extent', 'mode', or 'cursorcoordinates', but also for complex properties such as '.images[0].style.left'. When a property is set using mapwidget.set('extent',newExtent); the added listeners are called. The calling of listeners can be bypassed by directly assigning a value like mapwidget.extent = newExtent;.
